Our story
Sodie’s Cigar & Pipe is the premier destination for cigars and fine tobacco products in the Eastern Minnesota metro area. We specialize in premium cigars and pipes, and offer a comfortable lounge for sampling your purchases –whether working, catching up on some television, or just relaxing after a long day.
We cater to experienced smokers, those new to the hobby, and everyone in between. All are welcome at Sodie’s. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff will help you choose the perfect selection of cigars and pipe tobacco. With on-site storage lockers available, you can create your home away from home, or take some of our fine tobacco products with you to your own humidor. We want to elevate your smoking experience, both in-store and wherever else your hobby may take you.
Sodie’s Cigar and Pipe has been a long-time dream of owners Luke and Scott Sodergren. Building upon their successful tobacco boutique in Osceola, Wisconsin, this father-son team decided to expand, setting their sights on the thriving, artistic community of greater Stillwater. Sodie’s is thrilled to open their second location.
Sodie’s proudly carries a carefully curated collection of all major brands of cigars, pipes, cutters, lighter and humidors. The owners are actively involved in the fine tobacco community; networking, finding new brands, and meeting with master blenders of longstanding cigar families. Welcome our General Manager
At Sodie's we've built a great community of cigar lovers who staff the shop. For most of these folks being here is a hobby, something they do in addition to their full time jobs. We're excited to announce that we're growing that team with a new General Manager. Phil will let the rest of the team do what they do best- enjoying a cigar and sharing their passion and knowledge with you- while he manages the day-to-day operations of the store. Please help us welcome him to the Sodie's community!
Here's an introduction from Phil:
Hi, my name is Philip Postma or widely known as Dr. Phil or Doc, and I am very excited to join Sodie’s. I have a real passion for cigars and pipes - something to enjoy in good company.
I am originally from South Africa, where I spent most of my career in vehicle financing. Did some time in the military and corporate banking before that.
Between cigars, I enjoy music, motorcycle rides, cars, motor racing, rugby, golf and spending time with my two boxer dogs.
I can’t wait to meet all of you and enjoy a puff together.

Come and enjoy the lounge at Sodie’s Cigar & Pipe. Furnished with comfortable chairs, a poker table and set up for maximum entertainment, everyone can find themselves a seat to enjoy their tobacco how they most desire. Sodie’s has installed a state-of-the-art ventilation and smoke removal system so you can go home or back to work without the telltale smell of heavy smoke.
